Hello everyone. Today I bring you a small powtoon video that explains briefly the modal verbs of the English language. Enjoy!
Before I begin this paragraph I'd like to state that I couldn't for the life of me find the IU Campus to take the selfie. This game is horrible and confusing. Hello everyone. Today, I gave a chance to Second Life as a means of education. I created an account, logged in and wandered around. I will be talking about my experience with this game, and give my opinion about everything I've seen. First of all, the game performance is extremely poor. From the moment I've logged into this game I cannot for the life of me get anything above 30 FPS, and my computer is relatively strong with 8 GB ram, Intel i7 processor with GTX 1050 graphics card, I am able to run high end games with little to no problems. The overall visuals, movement, animation, the UI, essentially the general experience was horrendous. There was an incredible input lag where my character started to move 5 seconds after I give a command. The UI is weird and confusing, and the map is as buggy as the body o...
https://www.thinglink.com/scene/1189481867481448450 Hello everyone. Today I created a small Thinglink which you can access from the link above this text. If you examine the picture, you'll notice red circles around some tiny circles of pluses and a music note. These are the specialty of Thinglink. If you hover your mouse over these small icons, you will encounter some pop-ups on the picture containing various stuff, ranging from texts to videos to links to gifs and pictures. In my Thinglink, I used a picture of a video game character called Nami, and put up three of those. One of them gives a very brief abstract of her biography, another bubble gives information about her ingame abilities. The music note opens a youtube link to the music of our Nami. Since our new generation of learners are technologically native, research and feedbacks has been showing about how children love interactive items. Thinglink created a perfect tool to utilize this, as you can make various ty...
Hello everyone. In this post I would like to tell you about an educational tool I found and I made a nice little activity on it. You can check it here: https://app.seesaw.me/#/activities/class/class.c7feed9c-a906-41ff-aa50-eef1a08c53ff Seesaw is a fairly interesting website. Reminds me of Edmodo, but except you can make classroom materials on it and upload them rather than preparing them externally and uploading them. In Seesaw, you can create materials and upload them to your classrooms where your students can participate to them and give their answers, where you are also able to constantly monitor everything. I made a small activity called "Help the Testa Roadster Come back to Earth!" As you may or may not remember, SpaceX launched a car into space, and I thought it'd make an interesting topic to make an activity for. I asked students to create a dialogue where the car asks aliens how to come back to Earth. I also used a video game called Universe Sandbox 2 to crea...
