Flipgrid




Greetings everyone. For this post I would like to talk about another cool website that I absolutely love. Flipgrid is a free to use website that allows you to engage with students beyond the classroom. When I say beyond the classroom, students are able to reply to your topics with their own video recordings and pictures, and/or write about your given topics and assignments.
As you can see in the pictures, I decided to go with a simple, open ended question. Students can reply to my topic with a video recording of themselves explaining it, or post a picture of themselves and write their answers. They can also utilize special effects and emotes which can be added in that website, so since my topic is about their dream jobs, for example one student can add an astronaught helmet to their heads.

I personally find this website a very fun and interactive tool for educators worldwide, especially given the fact that our students are constantly online beyond the classrooms. We as educators can utilize this website to engage with our children even when school is over.

By experience the language I mean that you should be in an environment that speaks your target language, which is English for this video. In the modern age of today, with the widespread of electronic devices and internet, you can easily and freely talk to anyone. What I suggest, from my personal experience, is to get yourself some video games. There are many free online games, but if you're already interested you can buy some that interest you. Hello everyone. Today I used a website called Pixton. This website allows you to create lovely comics featuring you as a teacher and your students. When you first login to the website, you are asked to create your avatar to appear in the classrooms and comics. As you can see in the picture above, I created my avatar as similar as I could. I personally find everything about this website adorable and cute. Every character, facial expressions, the style and all are very nicely done. Everything is very high quality and cartoonish to catch the eye of young learners, but even as an adult I absolutely love it. As a teacher, I find this website to be an amazing instrument to truly make students feel involved in school, classroom and create a friendly, almost family type atmosphere in the classroom. Instead of looking at boring, random names and pictures found on google strapped on the books, the students can see themselves in the scenarios.

Hello everyone. Today I tried to use Canva but failed horribly, but failure is the first step to success! Despite me not performing good enough I can personally see the potential this tool has for teachers and students. As far as I can see it you are able to create presentation type stuff to show. As a teacher, you can use this in a variety of ways in the class, but I personally have an idea that should be especially great for young learners. You can create a colorful page full of the achievements of your students, or a group photo of them to boost their morale and their will to learn.
